Well, yeah. That basically says it. If you want me to recognize your birthday, you can e-mail me at emmajflick@aol.com. But what do you say when it's someone's half birthday? My birthday this year happened to occur during our church's Vacation Bible School. Lauren baked cookies and my mom made lots of cupcakes. And all the kids had to sing "Happy Birthday". But what do you do for someone's half birthday? Well, you post about it on your blog.
Today was the last day of school before Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, I got home an hour later than normal. I was very annoyed. I have never seen worse traffic on 17th street! It literally took the bus FIFTEEN MINUTES to go a block. Route 2 goes down 17th. I (along with about a hundred and fifty other kids-that isn't an exaggeration) get on at Spring Garden Street. A block away is Callowhill Street. And not even a full city block, either... Callowhill is one of those little streets between the major streets that aren't widely known and Callowhill Street is the only street like that that the 2 stops at. It might take you a while to work out that sentence. Anyway, the traffic on the expressway was horrible (but that's nothing out of the ordinary). So I got home at 5:40. It wasn't fun.
A word to the wise: Always carry a good book in your backpack. Or something electronic. Anything that will keep you occupied for a two-hour bus ride can come in handy.
Or a pillow! Thanks!!!!
