We recently got the rehearsal schedule for our musical. This year, our school is putting on Seussical. It's going to be a lot more fun (and better) than last year, when we did Anything Goes. The rehearsals are a lot longer than last year's (the longest that the middle school has to stay for being 3:19pm-8:00pm). We had one yesterday (thankfully only until 4:30), but it was more interesting because we got to see the scenes before ours. It was difficult to hear, though, so it wasn't entirely our fault when they forgot to call us and the high school Whos asked, "Where are all the middle school Whos?" which caused us all to look at each other and say, "Oops." No one told us when our cue was to get backstage, though, so I fail to see how it was our fault.
We (the Whoville Marching Band) keep missing most of our cues (we have about three). Our song is really long, and at one point, we are supposed to be "playing" something on our Dr. Seuss-like, strange, imaginary papier-mache instruments. But we don't actually have them yet, so we are just standing at the front of the stage awkwardly while the other Whos dance like they are having the time of their lives.
Apparently we are supposed to get a LOT of snow. Even more than December 19th, when my friends and I were having a sleepover. We didn't actually fall asleep until late, but it was snowing. We woke up a few hours later and it was so... snowy. There is no other word to describe it. I hope we don't have school Monday. I just hope that they won't add a day of school at the end of the year. Last year they kept doing that, and the school year ended on June 23rd.
